Welcome reception  & registration at the Owen Sound Marine and Rail Museum.This museum on the west side of the harbour was once the station for the Grand Trunk Railway ( later the Canadian National). On the opposite side of the harbour is the now derelict Canadian Pacific Railway station where the ALGOMA, ATHABASCA , ALBERTA, KEEWATIN and ASSINBOIA once docked until 1912

Georgian College International Marine Training Center - Owen Sound

Registration and welcome to the International Marine Training Centre at Georgian College. The college has one of the world's most up to date training simulators and respected training facilities for ship's officers.

Parking in the College lot requires a token to exit - Be sure to get your token on registration.

09:30 - 11:15

Tours and hand's on experience on the bridge and in the engine room. The bridge is a full sized operation with simulations for ports around the Great Lakes and around the Globe.

11:30 - 12:15

 The Future of Shipping on the Great lakes. Captain Robert Hull.

Captain Hull is an instructor at Georgian College and an active Great lakes pilot.

12:15 - 13:15

Lunch - A boxed lunch especially prepared by the Culinary Arts students at Georgian College
